THE WORD OF GOD
The King James Bible is the very center of everything taught at Texas Independent Baptist Seminary & Schools. Every major have an emphasis in Biblical studies, with the most classes using the Bible as the major resource material. All of this is designed to develop individuals who know what the Bible teaches, understand its principles, and know how to apply its truth to everyday life.
PERSONAL SOUL WINNING
The Great Commission is the driving force behind everything taught and preached at Texas Independent Baptist Seminary & Schools. Faculty, staff, and students go soul winning every week with the outreach ministries of Longview Baptist Temple, reaching the entire Ark-La-Tex area.
OLD-FASHIONED STANDARDS and CONVICTIONS
Texas Independent Baptist Seminary & Schools stands for the old-time religion, where separation from the world is both taught and preached. In accordance with the Scripture, TIBS teaches the indulgence in worldly amusements or practices is damaging to both one’s testimony and personal walk with God. Texas Independent Baptist Seminary students are not ashamed to be identified as conservative fundamentalists in their actions and in their appearance.
As a ministry of Longview Baptist Temple, Texas Independent Baptist Seminary students may choose from a wide variety of ministry opportunities, each providing valuable experience needed for full-time service for the Lord.
YEARLY MISSION TRIPS
TIBS sponsors annual mission trips to foreign countries. Costs associated with these trips are not included in the basic cost per semester and vary by trip location. Trip commitments will be taken at orientation. Once a student commits to a trip, the total cost is due and payable, but may be paid through installments throughout the school year.
